- An AI photo booth is a staffed event station that photographs each guest once under studio light and uses generative AI to rebuild that photograph as a new portrait in a style the guest picks from a touchscreen menu.
- A generative AI booth from CEG Interactive is $5,000 for up to three hours, nationwide, and the rate covers the crew, the studio lighting, unlimited sessions, your branding on every image and an online gallery; prints are a $1,000 upgrade.
- An AI booth needs 8 by 8 feet of floor, one standard 20A circuit and an internet connection, and each look renders in 30 to 60 seconds.
Planners also call it an AI photobooth, an A.I. booth, an AI portrait or selfie station, an AI effects booth, or the booth that turns you into someone else.
CEG Interactive has run generative AI stations at conferences, trade shows and brand activations since 2023, and across 208 post-event surveys and more than 200 five-star Google reviews CEG Interactive averages 4.8 out of 5. This is a staffed rental with our camera, our lighting, our crew and a branded gallery — not an app your guests download, and not a machine for sale. It is one of all our AI experiences, and for agencies and brand teams we also build custom AI experiences to a brief.
WHAT YOU GET WITH AN AI BOOTH
Guests pick from a menu of looks you approved, so nobody types a prompt and nothing unexpected reaches the gallery. The catalog holds 138 tested looks in 11 families, and a look built from your campaign art takes 5 to 7 business days.
This is full generative AI, not a face swapped onto a template: the model rebuilds the wardrobe, the background and the lighting as one image while the guest’s face stays their own. Nothing is layered on top the way virtual props or augmented-reality accessories are; the scene is built around the person. Up to about four guests fit in one image.
Your overlay sits on every image, every file lands in one event gallery, and guests take theirs by text, email or QR code. Opt-in email addresses and survey answers are collected as guests share, and the contact list is yours to export.
AI BOOTH AT A GLANCE
HOW AN AI BOOTH RUNS AT YOUR EVENT
Three steps, and a person runs all three. Capture, transform, deliver.
- Capture. The host coaches one pose at the mark and the camera takes a single frame under studio lighting, which is the only photograph the whole process needs.
- Transform. That frame goes to an image model with a tested prompt behind the look the guest chose, and the finished portrait appears on screen in 30 to 60 seconds.
- Deliver. The portrait carries your overlay, lands in one branded event gallery and reaches the guest by text, email or QR code at the sharing station, with prints on the spot when printing is part of the package.
Nothing in that sequence needs a green screen, a prop table or a costume rail, which is why the footprint is small enough for a registration area or a trade-show booth.
AI BOOTH LOOKS YOUR GUESTS CAN PICK
Every look has been run on real faces before it is offered, and each one is a whole scene rather than a filter: a flight deck at golden hour, an old-master oil portrait, a comic-book panel, a marble bust, a ski lodge, a newspaper front page.
Photos from this set are on their way.
You choose which looks appear on the touchscreen, so a finance conference can run portrait and editorial styles while a product launch runs only the two that match its key art. A look drawn from your own artwork, with your logo and colors inside the scene, takes 5 to 7 business days to build and approve on a range of faces.
AI BOOTHS AT CONFERENCES, TRADE SHOWS AND BRAND ACTIVATIONS
The same booth behaves differently depending on what the room is for. What changes is the format, the look set and what you brand.
| Recommendations by Project Type | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Event | Format that fits | Look set | What to brand |
| Conference or general session | Fixed set near registration or the break area | Portrait and editorial styles | Overlay and gallery |
| Trade show booth | Fixed set in the booth, or roaming the floor | Two or three tied to the product story | Overlay, backdrop, opt-in screen |
| Brand activation or launch | Fixed set with a queue, or roaming at a party | A custom look built from the campaign art | The look itself and the overlay |
| Company or holiday party | Roaming, so nobody leaves their table | Seasonal looks already in the catalog | Overlay |
| Multi-city program | The same setup in each city | One set, built once, run identically | Overlay and gallery, per city |
- A fixed AI booth set needs 8 by 8 feet of floor for the camera, the light and an 8 ft backdrop; the roaming format needs no floor space at all, because attendants carry the camera through the room.
- Venue Wi-Fi is enough for a conference, a launch or a party; on trade show and conference floors, where thousands of phones saturate the air, CEG Interactive brings a hardline.
- A conference or a holiday party runs on catalog looks; a brand activation usually wants one custom look, which is the 5 to 7 business day item in the schedule, and a multi-city program builds its look set once and runs it the same way in every city.
AI VIDEO FROM EVERY LOOK
A look can leave the booth as a still or as a five to ten second clip. The guest poses once, the portrait becomes the first frame of a short video with a moving virtual camera — an orbit, a dolly zoom, the light-painting trails beside this paragraph — and it lands in the same gallery about one to two minutes after the shutter.
Motion is its own product. See our AI video booths for the scene list, the capture times and what a clip costs.
“The filters, creative ideas, and recommendations they offer are always fun. Most importantly, our clients are happy with the final results.”

AI BOOTH UPGRADES
The AI look leaves the room as a 4 × 6 print with your event name along the bottom edge. The price bundles a second sharing station so the print queue does not slow the share queue, and the event needs an attendant on the printer. A quarter of our AI bookings add it.
ASK ABOUT THIS+$1,000
One station comes with the booth. For a reception where groups of four arrive together, each added station lets another group text, email or scan its portrait while the next guest is already at the mark.
ASK ABOUT THIS+$500 each
A standard 8 ft backdrop is in the rate. A printed step-and-repeat puts your brand behind the guest in the room as well as in the image, which matters when the room is being photographed too. Here, a Leading Hotels of the World wall with a red carpet in front of it.
ASK ABOUT THIS+$500
Your campaign colors, type and key art built into the image itself, down to the wardrobe and the hair, instead of laid over it as a frame. Approved on a range of faces before the event; allow 5 to 7 business days.

AI BOOTHS NATIONWIDE
Nationwide, and identical in every city.
Where to rent one: CEG Interactive runs this booth nationwide, in dozens of major metro areas including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston and Atlanta, with no travel cost in most markets. Remote locations may carry a delivery fee. Lead time is a few days at minimum, and a few weeks or months is better when a custom look or brand approvals are involved.
For a multi-city program the look set, the overlay and the sharing flow are built once on our own cloud-based photo booth platform and run identically in every city, so week one and week six belong to the same campaign. CEG Interactive’s multi-city clients include Leading Hotels of the World, Cartessa, New York Life, Live Nation and Salesforce.
PAIRS WELL WITH
The three services booked most often alongside an AI booth in our own orders since 2023:
A camera orbits guests on a platform and films them in slow motion. Our 360 booths start at $3,000 and run beside an AI set on the same floor.
Our LED floors run $25 per sq ft including delivery and the light tech, with a $5,000 order minimum. A 12 × 12 ft floor is $3,600, so pairing it with a booth is how a small floor reaches the minimum.
Our roaming booths reach the guests who never cross the room, from $2,000, with battery power included.
ALSO RECOMMENDED
The same capture, printed as a double-sided 2.5 by 3.5 inch card with a name, a number and your sponsor on the back. See our trading card station.
A robot arm draws each guest in pen while the line watches, about a minute per drawing, per robot. See our Sketch Bot rentals.
The red-carpet robot shot — push in, sweep around, pull out — with no arm in the room and your logo wall still readable when the camera settles. See the AI Glambot.
AI Booth Questions, Answered
How much does an AI booth cost to rent?
A generative AI booth from CEG Interactive costs $5,000 for up to three hours, nationwide. Extra hours are $500 each, instant prints add $1,000, and a custom look is quoted separately.
How long does each guest take?
CEG Interactive plans on about one session per minute, depending on crowd flow. The photograph takes seconds and the portrait appears 30 to 60 seconds later, so a three-hour rental can reach roughly 180 sessions.
Do guests get prints, or is it digital only?
Digital sharing by text, email or QR code is included on every CEG Interactive booth. On-site printing is a $1,000 upgrade that bundles a second sharing station, and any event with printing needs an attendant.
Can more than one guest be in the same AI portrait?
Yes, up to about four people in one image. Likeness holds best with fewer faces, so groups larger than four are better photographed in pairs.
Can the images carry our logo, brand colors or a custom theme?
Yes. Every image carries the client’s overlay, and a look can be built from the client’s own artwork so the logo and colors sit inside the scene. Custom looks take 5 to 7 business days and are approved on a range of faces first.
How much space, power and internet does it need?
8 by 8 feet of floor, one standard 20A circuit and an internet connection. Venue Wi-Fi is fine for most events; on trade show and conference floors CEG Interactive brings a hardline. The roaming format needs no floor space.
Is this an app, or software we license?
Neither. It is a staffed rental: CEG Interactive brings the camera, the lighting, the crew and the gallery, and guests install nothing. For agencies and brand teams CEG also builds custom AI experiences to a brief, with no end-user software.

A guest stands normally proportioned in the middle of a bustling city plaza photographed from high above at a steep downward angle, rendered with an extreme tilt-shift miniature effect: a razor-thin band of sharp focus across the guest with everything nearer and further falling into heavy soft blur, and color saturation pushed so the buses, awnings, and umbrellas below read like painted model pieces.
A guest stands calm and composed at the center of a packed party frozen in time: dozens of guests around them caught mid-laugh, mid-toast, mid-dance, absolutely motionless, with drinks tilted and hair suspended mid-swing.
A guest is surfing deep inside a barreling wave, crouched low with one hand trailing along the glassy blue-green wall of water beside them.
A guest stands in a narrow urban alley.
